Prince Edward Island Nominee Program (PEI PNP)

The island’s government deemed that participation in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) was necessary in order in increase the number of foreign employees in its soil due to the island’s economic growth.

Successful candidates will be given a PEI Nominee Certificate, which will expedite the application process for Canada Immigration (permanent residence) Vis. If you want to move to Prince Edward Island and you match the requirements for one of the three streams listed below, you may be able to enter Canada more quickly.

There are three streams listed below, you may be able to enter Canada more quickly


1. Prince Edward Island Express Entry

You can apply for The Prince Edward Island (PEI) express entry nomination for permanent residency through the PEI PNP. Your nomination through PEI PNP will increase your chance of being issued an Invitation to Apply from the Federal Government.

You must meet the requirements of at least one of the Federal Economic Immigration Program in order to be nominated through PEI express entry.

    • Canadian Experience Class


2. Business Impact Category

The P.E.I. Work Permit Stream requires applicants to get a Canadian Work Permit and work for P.E.I. business for a predetermined period of time as outlines in a performance agreement. The applicant must spend a minimum of $150,000 in the company when the performance agreement is completed, and they just promise to manage the business on a daily basis from within P.E.I


3. Labour Impact Category

The BC PNP offers a pathway for experienced entrepreneurs who can assist innovation and economic growth in the province to immigrate to Canada and live in British Columbia. This pathway is further divided into two categories:


a) Labour Impact Category

If you are currently employed by an Island employer, you are eligible to apply through skilled worker stream. The skilled worker stream is employer driven, allowing island employers to fill high skilled positions that they are unable to fill through the local job market.


b) Critical Worker Category

If you are employed in PEI right now, you can apply through Critical worker stream. Employers can fill intermediate- skilled positions that are difficult to fill on the island through the PEI Critical Worker stream which is employer driven.
