Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)

Economic immigration program that nominates people for permanent residence in Alberta is known as Alberta Immigration Nominee Program (AINP). Nominee must be seeking to buy or start a business or have skills to fill job shortages in Alberta. Also, they must be able to support their families. The Canadian and Albertan government runs the program.

You, your spouse or common- law partner, and any dependent children may apply for permanent residence status if you are nominated under the programme.


Stream for Workers

This program is for skilled workers who desire to permanently immigrate to Canada and have foreign job experience.


1. Alberta Opportunity Stream:

Qualified Candidates who live and work in Alberta and have a job offer from an Alberta employer can apply for AINP nomination.


2. Alberta Express Entry Stream:

The AINP may invite the qualified candidates with an express entry profile to submit an application for nomination for permanent residence.


3. Stream for Entrepreneurs:

For entrepreneurs who plan to live in Alberta either buys an existing business or start a business in province, the AINP offers two streams.


a. International Graduate Entrepreneur Immigration Stream:

International Graduates of approved Alberta Post Secondary institutions who want to start a business or buy an existing business can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).


b. Self Employed Farmer Stream:

Experienced farmers who intend to buy purchase or start a farm in Alberta can apply for Permanent Residence.
